On the national historic registry, our active fifth-generation family farm annually bags up the fleece we shear from our alpacas and then sells it for manufacturing purposes and to use in our gift shop.

Dall Quarter

Named for wealthy Baltimore merchant who built his countryside home, Elmwood, in 1855, the John Dall Quarter offers a warm, relaxing and natural touch with yellow pine hardwood floors, olive white inspired horsehair plastered walls, white trim, and handmade light blue paisley roman shades.

This very chic room has a queen-size wrought iron bed with a Serta Luxury 5-Star Pillow Top Cool Gel mattress, cooling pillows, triple sheeted with Comphy microfiber sheets and blanket, handmade quilt, and pillow shams. Luxurious bathrobes wrap you in softness as you lounge in this quarter.

Ripple Quarter

Named for the second landowner of Elmwood and on the second floor, the John Ripple Quarter offers a bright, elegant, and classy feel with yellow pine hardwood floors, serene oatlands-inspired horsehair plastered walls, white trim, and handmade modern floral curtains for three windows.

This very delightful quarter features a unique farm-style queen-size wood bed with a Serta Luxury 5-Star Pillow Top Cool Gel mattress, cooling pillows, triple sheeted with Comphy microfiber sheets and blanket, handmade quilt, and pillow shams.

This very delightful quarter on the second floor has a queen-size wood bed with a Serta Luxury 5-Star Pillow Top Cool Gel mattress, cooling pillows, triple sheeted with Comphy microfiber sheets and blanket, handmade quilt, and pillow shams.

Soldier’s Retreat

Handicapped-accessible and pet-friendly, this large, walk-out basement outfits the Soldier’s Retreat from General Lee’s Army during the US Civil War. This quarter has a graceful and rustic flair to bring you back to history with stone and brick walls with traces of horsehair plaster, radiant heated brick paver floors, grey milk painted doors and trim, and handmade primitive roman shades.

This quarter includes a rustic wood queen-size bed with a Serta Luxury 5-Star Pillow Top Cool Gel mattress, cooling pillows, triple sheeted with Comphy microfiber sheets, blanket, and handmade quilt and pillow shams. Luxurious bathrobes wrap you in softness as you lounge in this quarter.
